We would suggest you switch from room to room in order to experience most of our carefully and finely decorated different theme rooms. Don't worry about moving, our staff will be more than glad to help you with your luggage.

B&B is a part of our name, which is Matahari Cottage Bed & Breakfast. However, we're offering hotel amenities, such as 3-course breakfast, Victorian afternoon tea. Facilities include air-conditioned Elizabethan library, jungle bathing pool. We also provide tourist information and other booking services. An occasional guest familiar only with chain hotel offerings might find that Matahari does not match his or her expectations; however, those who would enjoy a more natural ethnic experience in grass huts carefully prepared to make guests feel pampered in the jungle surroundings, will find a pleasurable and memorable experience at Matahari.

We are also offering massages in your own room, one of the best massages in Ubud area according to most of our guests' comment.

The In-Room Massage services include:

Full Body Massage: one hour full-body oil massage combines Balinese strokes and Chinese acupressure.(One hour, Rp.80,000 per person)

Royal White Mandi Lulur: Starts with a white water lily floating in a silver aroma oil burner permeating your room with scent. After a one hour full-body massage, your body is covered by white Lulur, a traditional Balinese spice combined with porcelain kaolin earth to exfoliate your skin. This is followed by a yogurt skin-soothing treatment and a white flower bath. Complimentary white chocolate fondue with white fruits, including apple, lychee, and mangosteen accompanied by white sesame cookies and almonds is served while you soak. After your hot soak, return to your massage table to be anointed with whitening lotion and dusting talc. (Two hours, Rp. 180,000 per person)

Lexxus Bio-Mask Facial: Pamper your face as you drench yourself in the exquisite luxury of our exclusive American Skindulgence facial technology followed by a Balinese scalp massage and avocado skin-soothing treatment. You’ll feel years younger in just 60 minutes.(One hour, Rp.100,000)

Although we don’t have airport vouchers, we work with a reliable driver who will be waiting with a Matahari sign and your name as you come out of customs. The fee of 150,000 Rupiah (currently about 16$US) for each airport pick- up or drop-off can be added to your room bill.

We sincerely hope you will be able to join us for our Victorian afternoon tea and Hofgarten (Viennese) afternoon tea, which is served in rotation from two to five daily and is complementary to guests of the B&B. Also included in the room rate is a fancy breakfast in bed, on your terrace or in the dining room if you prefer. Also, you will want to have a dip in our jungle bath or use the air-conditioned Elizabethan library.

We shall be awaiting your acknowledgment of this letter and your decision as to which rooms and cottages you prefer so we can go ahead and reserve them until your arrival. (Only one day deposit is required to confirm your reservation. You may do this by our on-line payment mechanism on our homepage, powered by PayPal secure website. After you choose your room combination, we will inform you by email for deposit.)

We believe everyone should have a magical experience in Ubud and we are determined to contribute what we can to make your holiday perfect. Also enclosed is a photo of the Balinese ceremony, Ogohogoh, to share with you the mysterious atmosphere of the tropical festivities.

Should you need other reservations such as water-rafting, horse-riding, dancing classes, other SPA treatments, cultural classes, transportation and restaurant reservations, we will be more than glad of assistance. We wish you a very wonderful trip and look forward to your reply.

Yours faithfully,

Matahari Cottage Bed and Breakfast
